It was a tale of two halves but unfortunately, Kenston's stellar defensive effort in the second half could not make up for a four-score halftime deficit in a 28-7 road loss at NDCL.

After forcing a three-and-out in the game's first defensive stop, Kenston struggled for the rest of the first half, surrendering four Lion touchdowns that put the Bombers in a 28-0 hole at halftime.

Not much went well for the offense in the first half either as the team turned it over on an interception and were held to virtually no yards in the first two frames.

In the second half however, the Bomber defense turned in a Herculean effort and completely shut down NDCL, forcing two punts in their only offensive possessions before the last drive of the game.

The Bomber offense finally got something going in the third quarter on a persistent drive that culminated in a six-yard touchdown run by senior Will Hamm. to bring the scoring to a close at 28-7.

Hamm played a bit of wildcat throughout the whole game and finished with 103 yards rushing on 24 carries to go with the TD.

Jake Rostocil and Tucker Meeks led the team in tackles with seven each and Ben Rostocil had arguably the best game in his Kenston career, issuing 5 tackles, a sack, and three quarterback pressures.

The team will look to reverse the tide against new Suburban League foe Copley on September 10 at home in a Thursday night game.
