For the first time since 2019 and perhaps the last time ever, the Kenston boys and girls programs swept the All-Sports Awards presented to the WRC programs who are the highest point-earners in all sports across the conference's offerings.
The boys just edged Mayfield to capture the boys trophy - their first since the 2020-21 academic year.
The girls dominated, earning over 82% of the highest possible composite score, capturing their third straight and seventh trophy in nine years.
The Western Reserve Conference announced it would discontinue operations for the start of the 2026-27 academic year as Kenston and Mayfield will join the American Division of the Suburban League next fall, while Riverside heads to the GCC and Willoughby, Eastlake, and Chardon head to the CVC.
