Kenston fell 45-12 in its home opener to Perry, the number one-ranked team in the state of Ohio in Division V.

The Bombers could not get anything going in the first half as Perry built up a 38-0 lead heading into the locker rooms. The Pirates added another touchdown to start the second half before Kenston finally got on the board.

Senior running back Will Hamm scampered 16 yards for his first rushing score of the season to make it 45-6. The Bombers would add one more rushing score on a 30-yard run by Jackson Ehrenbeit to end the night at 45-12.

Hamm finished the game with 48 yards and a TD on 13 carries while Ehrenbeit tallied 57 yards and a score to lead the Kenston offense.

Jake Rostocil continued his assault on the career tackles record books with seven tackles (two for a loss) and added a sack, to lead the Bomber defense.

Kenston will need to bounce back quickly as the schedule gets no easier next week against NDCL, a team they lost to in three overtimes last year.
