The OHSAA and its Northeast District Board (NEDAB) held their annual college scholarship program ceremony at Progressive Field on July 20 prior to the Cleveland Guardians-Minnesota Twins game.
This year's Kenston recipients were Grady Kucharson and Raegan Timmons. As outgoing NEDAB board member, Kenston Athletic Director Reid Guarnieri was able to present the seniors with their awards.
Both Kucharson and Timmons will attend Ohio State University in the fall. Kucharson was an All-Ohio performer in football and also competed in basketball and baseball. Timmons was a three-sport athlete competing in softball, volleyball, and track and field for the Bombers.
Recipients are selected based on a point system which rewards students for grade point averages; class rank; community service; varsity letters earned; and individual and team athletic honors. All honorees earn a $1,000 college scholarship from the OHSAA.
