OHSAA AWARDS
These awards are authorized by the OHSAA’s Sportsmanship, Ethics and Integrity Committee. Chosen by the Kenston High School Administration, these are awarded annually in several categories.

OHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award
This award recognizes one female and one male senior student-athlete for top academic achievement among students that have earned at least four varsity letters and competed during the 2025-26 academic year. Each of these recipients held the highest cumulative GPA amongst the class of qualifiers.

NFHS Award of Excellence
The National Federation of High Schools sponsors two awards each year to students that serve as positive role models and excellent leaders in the Bomber athletic community.

OHSAA Courageous Student Award
The OHSAA awards the Courageous Student Award to a student-athlete who has overcome a serious illness, injury, disability, or great adversity in a positive way.

Winner: Raygynn Pampush overcame a serious injury sustained during the 2024 volleyball postseason and returned to full health in 2025, earning a team award for Defensive Player of the Year, All-WRC honors, and was named 2nd Team All-District.

OHSAA Exemplary Service Award
The OHSAA presents its Exemplary Service Award to an adult in the community that exemplifies good sportsmanship, is a positive role model for others, and has contributed to the well-being of the students in our school and our community.

Winner: for his generous support and work within the Kenston community, Mr. Marty Booher.

OHSAA Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award
The OHSAA awards the Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award, named for Ohio State’s two-time Heisman Trophy winner and ambassador of sporting behavior, to two students at each member school that exemplify not only excellence in athletic and academic performance, but the utmost sportsmanship, ethics, and integrity.
