Kenston opened their season with a defeat of Kent Roosevelt, beating the snow and the Rough Riders, winning 11-6.
Alaina Murphy and Brenna Zak each scored four goals apiece and goalie Ella Morin saved 8 of 14 shots on goal in the net.
