Girls Basketball falls 43-39 at Bay; record-setting performances

Kenston lost to Bay 43-39 in the District Semifinal to conclude their season. The game was an exciting see-saw battle that saw Kenston tie the game at 37 after falling behind 37-30 in the late second half.

Bay hit several tough shots and capitalized on the foul line at the end to close out the season for the Bombers.

Tremendous effort was turned in by Kenston despite the loss. Senior Morgan Cicek finished with 15 points and 1,070 for her career, placing her in fourth all-time in program history. Her 364 points on the season also placed her just outside of the top five seasons ever. She also finished with one three-pointer giving her 147 in her career (2nd all-time).

Aurora Young finished her excellent career scoring eight points and pulling down an awesome 15 boards. Her 450 career rebounds placed her second all-time. Her 178 on the season also were the second-most ever. Her .402 FG% for her career placed her in 4th all-time.

Trinity Osterman also had a big game, finishing with 15 points and 17 rebounds. Her 177 rebounds on the season placed as the third-most in a season ever just behind Young. Her .524 FG% for the season is a new school record.

Kait Paystrup's 69 assists on the season were the fifth-most in program history as well.
