Prior to the final home game of the season versus Mayfield, Kenston Athletics honored its newly anointed all-time winningest boys basketball coach Josh Jakacki with a special ceremony.
This year, Kenston has welcomed the successful return of the head coach to the Kenston sidelines after several seasons away coaching Crestwood.
On February 10, the Bombers defeated Willoughby South for their 18th win of the season, clinching their first WRC Championship since the 2021-22 season.
That championship marks the sixth of Coach Jakacki’s Kenston coaching career and more importantly, was his program-leading 149th career victory as the new leader in Kenston Boys Basketball.
Kenston Athletic Director Reid Guarnieri and Kenston Athletic Booster President Jeff Lechak presented Coach Jakacki with a game ball and special banner marking his accomplishment.
