On a night Kenston could not get much of anything going offensively, the Bombers fell to Willoughby South 35-11 to bring their record to 4-3.

The first Kenston series was a harbinger for the evening, as they punted after a three-and-out drive and South scored a touchdown on their first possession to go up 6-0.

Kenston then put together its first scoring drive on 18 plays but could only muster a 31-yard field goal by Grady Kucharson, making the score 6-3.

South then scored the next 21 points to go up 27-3 before the Bombers would threaten again. Another long Kenston drive culminated in an 11-yard touchdown keeper by quarterback Sam Bryner followed by a two-point conversion to put the score at 27-11.

South would go on to score another touchdown to bring the final score to 35-11.

Bryner finished 20-for-30 on his pass attempts for 150 yards and also added 15 rushes for 64 yards. Ethan Burge ran the ball 17 times for 53 yards and Will Hamm led the team in receiving with 10 catches for 74 yards.

Jake Rostocil led all tacklers with 12, followed by Colin Weiland with 10 ,and Cade White with eight. Bobby Hairston came in as a reserve and made some big plays including five tackles and a fumble recovery.

The Bombers will try to bounce back on October 10 when they host Riverside on Homecoming weekend.
